OUR DEPARTMENT STAFF
As our Chief, Graham Nave carries a lot of responsibilities balancing school, college hockey, and a productive department. Graham is a Finance Major at Missouri State with hopes of becoming a business entrepreneur when he graduates. Chief Nave has been instrumental in the restructuring of the Fireman's Challenge in 2017. Chief Nave has a selfless attitude and strong work ethic which is prevalent in his previous philanthropic events. As philanthropy chairman, he is responsible for organizing large philanthropic events. With his guidance, the PIKE Fire Department at Missouri State looks to have their most successful event to date.
As our Assistant Chief, Connor Hughes is responsible for ensuring our crew is on top of their game before, during and after our event. Connor is a Marketing Major at Missouri State with hopes of working with a large marketing agency when he graduates. Like others, Assistant Chief Hughes has played a big role in restricting the Fireman's Challenge. Applying his marketing knowledge to the event has helped us better brand and market our event to ways it has never been before. With the expansion of a public event, much time was dedicated by Assistant Chief Hughes to make our event "unlike any other".
As Fire Commissioner, Alex Schlitt oversees the entire event with the help of Chief Nave. Alex is a Fire Science Major with emphasis in arson investigation and prevention/education. He has been a volunteer firefighter and first responder with his hometown department, the Oran Fire Protection District, since 2012. Commissioner Schlitt has dedicated his life to public service, affording him the knowledge and experience to conduct such a challenge with his fraternity. He is excited for the event and all the benefits it will offer students, the community and firefighters from the region.
