The Fireman's Challenge started in 2012 by the Zeta Chi Chapter of Missouri State University in Springfield, MO, is an annual philanthropic event that promotes fire safety, education and prevention to the students and staff at Missouri State University. In 2017, a complete "overhaul" began on the event in order to go beyond the university, now to include other universities, fire departments, and even the community. All proceeds benefit the Springfield Fire Department's  Prevention & Education Division, as well as another fire department who is selected based on need.

The Challenge consists of daily activities during a week long event. All these events lead up to the main event, "The Challenge", on Saturday. The Challenge is two separate obstacle courses for participating teams and individuals. In addition, there are games, activities, and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy during the event. Concessions will be available as well.

Come watch students and firefighters compete in one of the most challenging competitions in Springfield history!

We hope to see you at The Challenge!
